The Primary Shakespeare Company
Films
Here are a few films that we've made about our work and our collaborations...
For the last few years we've worked with MA and BA students from Rose Bruford College. The students work on a piece of sensory theatre that tours to special schools. The MA students also spend a term with the PSC team creating a musical storytelling version of a Shakespeare play that tours to thousands of children around London. Here is a film about that project with Julius Caesar as the source material.
Hugh Bonneville and Billie Piper have been patrons of the PSC for over ten years attending festivals and fundraising events. Here they both talk about the importance of arts for all.
We've been working on projects with Riverside Special School and Rose Bruford for over 5 years. Here's a short film about the work that happens in this collaboration.
Over the years we've worked with many schools doing whole school Shakespeare Projects including storytelling, curriculum resources, workshop leading, teacher training and festivals and exhibitions. Here's a short film about that kind of work in Salusbury Primary School in Brent.
In 2019 we held a ten year fundraising gala. As part of the content that we showed to attendees was this short film. We caught up with some of the pupils that took part in the project when they were in primary school. The oldest one was out in the working world and another was at university.
We run a training programme called "Transforming Writing Through Drama" as well as one day staff insets. This short film looks at some of the teachers journeys through the training.
